Unforgettable New Year’s Eve in the city that guarded the Dragons!

Six formidable carried the day in Krakow, a city of legends, along with 1,000 young people.

Krakow is known as the city of legend. Some of them are related to the Wawel hill. On it were a self-titled Castle, the Cathedral of St. Wenceslaus And St. Stanislaus Bishop. At the top of the hill is Zygmunt tower with five bells, which, according to legend, with their ringing forcing clouds and bring good weather. Any girl who touched the pendulum will be happy in love and will marry quickly.

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Wieliczka located at a depth of 327m, and covers an area of ​​over 300 km. It is located near the city of Krakow and the entire labyrinth extends below the town of Wieliczka. It consists of nine levels, the first of which was opened for visitors at 64m below ground, a ninth, where there is also the deepest point of the mine at 327m.

It has been active over 700 years, and is one of the main sources of income to Poland. Long time ago in these areas was sea, which after years of drought disappeared, but left behind a huge number of minerals, including sodium chloride. The mine is now not used to such an extent, but one of its part remained open for the production of salt, while is now mainly a tourist attraction.

Auschwitz (ger. Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau)

Auschwitz (ger. Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau) was the largest Nazi concentration camp of mass destruction of the population. It was located in southern Poland, 50 km west of Krakow and 286 km from Warsaw. Named after the nearby village of Oswiecim (Auschwitz in German). After the German occupation of Polish in September 1939 Oswiecim is connected to Germany and his name was changed to Auschwitz.

In the concentration camp of Auschwitz deported a total of 1.3 million people from different parts of Europe. From that number, there were 1.1 million killed, mostly Jews (million). Most victims were killed immediately on arrival at the camp in the gas chambers of Auschwitz II where was used gas cyclone B.

Among the victims is 19,000 Roms who were murdered in July 1944 and about 83,000 Poles. The camp commander Rudolf Hoess at the Nuremberg trials testified that up to 2.5 million people died at Auschwitz. Until today are preserved many buildings camp Auschwitz what you can see in the photographs.

Krakow is a favorite choice among young Europeans. Besides to crazy New Year’s Eve, Krakow is certainly a beautiful whenever you decide to visit it. This city is also known for its rich night life, therefore so many young people decide to travel there for the New Year holidays and visit one of the city’s major discotheque.

This year, 1,000 young people signed up and spent a great time in four fabulous parties organized by the Agency no. 1 youth “Balkan Fun”. If you missed this spectacle, my suggestion is to sign up next year.
